A Q&A with Incoming and Outgoing Tuck WIB Presidents

By Tuck Women in Business

Reflections from Incoming WIB President Meryl Rosenberg T’26

What are you most looking forward to in your leadership role?
I’m excited to further the feeling of community and build something that will last past our time at Tuck. I look forward to having the opportunity to tap into everyone’s collective knowledge of community building and diverse inputs to execute an inclusive range of events, assist people in ways that feels good for them, and build community across categories. I am especially eager to help members set and reach their professional goals, whether that means landing their dream internships or feeling more connected to a strong support system.

What do WIB members have to look forward to next year?
Overall, members can look forward to deeper connections and renewed energy. We are introducing two in-person on-sites to encourage leadership throughout the year. WIB is also intentionally setting up spaces for T’27s to connect before T’26s arrive, so they feel seen and know that we are excited to meet them upon returning to campus. We're also planning cross-class events and career-focused sessions that help build real bonds and offer tactical recruiting support.

What has been your most impactful experience with WIB?
There have been so many experiences that have resonated with me. As a prospective student, WIBCo was a crucially impactful experience that ultimately made Tuck my top MBA program choice. As a student, being part of the events and programming committee has been so rewarding—being able to actually pull from the community to understand what will help us connect to each other more, work with administration and faculty to put together events and meet with other club chairs to cross-collaborate. Seeing people show up to an event I helped organized and the friendships that form out of those events is incredibly rewarding.

What WIB event are you most excited to repeat next year?
There are so many highlights we're excited to bring back! WIB Skate Night is returning, which was a fun, lighthearted, and very Tuck event. WIB is also going to host another career panel, which was very tactically helpful and created a lot of connections across classes and let first years know where to go when they needed recruiting help. And of course, the Kickoff Mixer will be back at the start of the year—it’s a perfect way for T’27s and T’26s to meet and start building relationships right away. I can’t wait to welcome everyone!

Reflections with Outgoing WIB President, Tori Semaan T’25

What was your favorite WIB event or experience from this year?
For me, I have to say the Women in Business Conference. While I was unable to attend as a prospective student, I have seen this event come to life in many different ways over the past two years. Watching prospective students engage, current students step up, and our community shine has made me incredibly proud as it is truly meaningful to create these spaces.

What are you most proud of from this year?
I am most proud of how involved both T’25s and T’26s have been. This year, we saw so many people raise their hands and lead—from new events to broader community efforts. The energy felt different! It was not just about participation. It was about ownership. I have loved watching our community come together, try new things, and continue building on what WIB can be.

What are some of your reflections from your time as WIB President?
As I look back, I am proud of what women across both classes have accomplished and how they have supported each other along the way. I am also proud of how Men As Allies has shown up meaningfully for us. More than anything, I have seen women feel empowered to speak up, take initiative, and fully take up space at Tuck. That has been really special to witness.

What legacy do you hope to have left behind as you transition from being WIB president?
I hope I have shown that you can lead with conviction and compassion. That it is okay to be loud, proud, and unafraid to make tough decisions when you believe in something. I hope my time as President has helped others feel like they can own their voices and be bold in their own ways.

What advice do you have for the T’26 class?
Take it all in. Seriously, Tuck goes by faster than you think. Stay grounded in the moment and remember why you are here. Be intentional with your time and the people you choose to share it with. Deepen your existing friendships, but keep making new ones. Most importantly – Stay true, stay you.
