Veterans Benefits

At Tuck, we are proud to support the men and women who have served our country. Whether you’re a veteran, active-duty service member, or eligible dependent, federal education benefits like the Post-9/11 GI Bill and the Yellow Ribbon Program can help make your MBA journey more accessible. These programs provide funding for tuition, fees, housing, and educational supplies, so you can focus on your learning and leadership development at Tuck.

Post-9/11 GI Bill

The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides education benefits to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001, or those discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days, or who have received a Purple Heart. An honorable discharge is required for eligibility. Benefits are determined based on the percentage of creditable active-duty service. In addition to covering tuition and fees, the GI Bill provides a monthly housing allowance and a book and supplies stipend.

Yellow Ribbon Program (YRP)

The Yellow Ribbon Program, part of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, allows institutions to voluntarily fund tuition and fee costs that exceed the VA’s annual national maximum cap of $29,920.95 for private institutions. Eligible students at the 100% benefit tier may receive additional funding through a partnership between the institution and the VA, with each contributing up to 50% of the excess costs. For the 2025–26 academic year, Tuck contributes up to $26,000 per student with 100% Post-9/11 GI Bill® entitlement, which the VA matches—providing up to $52,000 in additional funding beyond the annual VA national maximum cap of $29,920.95 for private institutions. This generous support can significantly reduce out-of-pocket tuition expenses for eligible veterans pursuing an MBA at Tuck. Importantly, there is no cap on the number of veterans who may receive this benefit, highlighting Tuck’s ongoing dedication to making world-class business education accessible to those who have served.

Eligibility for all VA education benefits is determined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). To determine your eligibility, you must apply through the VA, via the VA website. The VA then issues a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), which outlines the benefits you qualify for, including percentage of coverage and duration.
