Hello! It's been awhile since I last blogged, but I did want to take a spare moment to express some more thoughts about Tuck and my experience so far, particularly around the summer internship.
I'm interning at Deloitte in Strategy & Operations for the summer and we were just in Dallas for our Summer Associate Conference - not your typical work conference I'd say: we had a drumming cafe where everyone drummed together, fun in a water park, and attended a Texas-themed party with armadillo races, line dancing, lassos, and a Southern-themed photo booth.
At both this conference and our initial training one, Tuckies at Deloitte reached out to me and the other Tuckies to meet up. And, when we first started in the office (I'm in Boston), we got connected to so many fellow alums and had so much support from them that the other interns thought we were part of some cult or something. That's just the thing about Tuck - it will always be a huge support network throughout your career and throughout your life. I have to say that attending Tuck has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Additionally, I was quite nervous to start my consulting job for the summer as I have no strategy experience whatsoever. However, our first year preparation at Tuck has helped us quickly get acclimated and I've been surprised at how much our core classes have helped set us up for our summer jobs. I'm excited to finish off the second half of my internship and be back up at Tuck for my second year!
Anyway, good luck with applications this summer and I hope you get a chance to visit our lovely campus.
