Timothy McDade

Timothy R. McDade is Head of Markets and Analytics for the Ecosystem and Capital Market Strategy (ECMS) team at BlackRock. He was previously a researcher and multi-asset retirement portfolio manager, where the solutions he built drew upon insights from his prior role as Director of Economics and Data Science for BlackRock’s Global Retirement Initiative. 

Earlier in his career, Tim worked for Microsoft, where he was the data scientist responsible for Microsoft Azure’s China analytics, based in Beijing. Tim holds a PhD in Political Economy from Duke University and a BS with Honors from the College of William & Mary in Math and Chinese.
