Course Description
Innovation often benefits from scale. With over 1.4 million habitants, India is the most populated country in the planet. We will visit the southern city of Chennai to experience India’s vast manufacturing potential. We will also visit the city of Bangalore, the heart of the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Mega factories and global unicorns coexist with poverty and institutional voids. How is India leveraging its mammoth scale to create and capture value in today’s world? Will the rise of India’s manufacturing sector and entrepreneurial capacity help alleviate the country’s social and economic problems? These are the questions at the center of this GIX.
