Tuck Looks Ahead to the Class of 2029, Launches 2026–2027 MBA Application

Over the coming weeks and months, applicants will have extensive opportunities to connect with Tuck through a wide range of on-campus, virtual, and global admissions events designed to help candidates learn more about the distinct Tuck experience.

“Throughout the admissions process, our goal is to help prospective students understand what makes Tuck different—not just as a business school, but as a community,” says Lawrence Mur’ray, executive director of admissions and financial aid. “We encourage candidates to explore Tuck in whatever way works best for them, whether that means visiting Hanover, attending an event in their region, or connecting virtually with members of our community.”

Applicants’ first opportunity to visit Tuck in-person will be on July 10 for Discover Tuck: Summer Visit Day. A full day of programming designed to give insight into the Tuck experience, Summer Visit Day is a great opportunity for prospective MBA candidates to hear from school leadership, current students, alumni, and more. The 2026–2027 admissions cycle will offer three opportunities to apply. This year’s application deadlines are:

• Round 1: September 24, 2026
• Round 2: January 5, 2027
• Round 3: March 24, 2027

Applicants seeking a guaranteed admissions interview must submit their complete application by September 1, 2026 for Round 1 and by December 1, 2026 for Round 2. All other interviews will be granted on an invitational basis.

Tuck will offer a limited number of on-campus interviews in Hanover for applicants who wish to experience the campus firsthand. Most interviews will continue to be conducted virtually and all interviews—whether guaranteed or invitational, in-person or virtual—are valued equally.

Tuck continues to evaluate applicants through four admissions criteria: smart, accomplished, aware, and encouraging. This year’s refined essay questions give applicants more space to show how they demonstrate awareness and encouragement. The essays can be viewed in their entirety below—essays one and two map directly to the “aware” criterion and essay three maps to “encouraging.” The optional and reapplicant essays are unchanged from last year.

“Essays allow us to learn details about a candidate that might not surface from their resume or test scores,” Mur’ray says. “We’re excited about the refined essay questions we’re offering this year. We think they will allow candidates to earnestly show us who they are and how a Tuck MBA will help them achieve their goals.”

Once again, Tuck will accept all versions of the GMAT and the GRE General Test. The school does not prefer one test over another. Applicants who demonstrate the quantitative reasoning and analytical capabilities essential for success in Tuck’s rigorous MBA curriculum may be eligible for a test waiver. Candidates should use the application to highlight the strongest evidence of their readiness for Tuck, whether through a test score, academic record, or professional background. 2026-2027 Tuck Essay Questions

• (Optional) Please provide any additional insight or information that you have not addressed elsewhere (e.g., atypical choice of references, factors affecting academic performance, unexplained job gaps or changes). Complete this question only if you feel your candidacy is not fully represented by this application. (2000 characters)
