On campus and across the world, the Tuck community is coming together to celebrate the school’s enduring legacy and the next 125 years of wise, decisive leadership.
In the history books of higher education, Tuck is known as the world’s first graduate school of management—and is often lauded for having the world’s best alumni network.
“We do have the strongest alumni network of any business school in the world,” Dean Matthew Slaughter proudly acknowledges. “And that is not incidental. For more than 125 years, the foundation of the Tuck School has been its people. Together, we build human and pedagogical trust. We invest in one another’s growth and success.”
Surrounded by hundreds of alumni, faculty, students, and staff at a Tuck 125 event in Hanover, Brian Tomlin, the William and Josephine Buchanan Professor of Management, echoed a similar sentiment, reflecting on the school’s distinct culture from the faculty perspective. “You can teach and do research anywhere,” he said, “but what sets Tuck apart from every other top business school is our strong sense of connection and community. More than anything else, I hope that remains true 125 years from now.”

That at-home celebration in Hanover was the latest stop during Tuck’s ongoing 125th anniversary tour. The strength and spirit of the Tuck alumni network has been on full display throughout the year with alumni and friends gathering to celebrate the milestone in cities around the globe. Many alumni are also investing in Tuck’s next chapter through their support for student scholarships and increased commitment to Tuck Annual Giving (TAG).
“The collective energy and enthusiasm alumni have shown for Tuck’s past, present, and future has been special to witness,” says Executive Director of Alumni Engagement Liz Nuñez. “Their excitement to celebrate this milestone together is a powerful demonstration of how much this school and community means to them.”
Executive Director of Tuck Annual Giving Heather Ermarth is equally moved by the way alumni are stepping forward to support Tuck’s future.
“The generosity of Tuck alumni is an inspiration—the result of a community-wide partnership between committed volunteers, staff, and alumni,” says Ermarth. “Other schools scratch their heads trying to replicate what we have here at Tuck.”
In January, Ermarth was among those who gathered for the Tuck 125 kick off in Boston. During the event held at CarGurus’ global headquarters, CEO Jason Trevisan T’03 shared his own perspective on the world’s best alumni network.

“Seeing so many alumni, across class years and industries, come together to celebrate this 125th milestone was a striking reminder of the strength and connectivity of the Tuck community,” says Trevisan. “It’s a network I’m proud to be part of, and I left feeling energized about the direction of the school and the next generation of Tuck business leaders.”
While enjoying panoramic views of the Back Bay skyline, attendees also heard from Associate Dean of the MBA Program Sally Jaeger and Senior Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning Joe Hall, as well as a panel of current Tuck students who shared reflections on their MBA journey and aspirations for the future.
In her remarks, Ashleigh Mazivisa T’26 highlighted the profound impact alumni have had on her Tuck experience thus far.
“From walks around campus to casual lunches and thoughtful check-ins, Tuck alumni have shown up with curiosity, kindness, and insight,” says Mazivisa. “Their openness has made the start of my Tuck journey even more meaningful.”
From Back Bay to South Beach, 125th celebrations continued in early March with a gathering in Miami at the posh Standard Hotel on Belle Isle. In April, Paris became the first international stop on the Tuck 125 tour. Hosted by Amir Nahai D’99, T’05, Tuck 125: Paris took place at Hotel d’Evreux, a curated event space overlooking the Napoleon-era Place Vendôme. Alumni and guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres while Dean Slaughter shared an update on the latest happenings at Tuck.

“What will stay with me most from the evening was the genuine warmth and energy in the room,” says Nahai, an executive in the luxury hospitality and event services industry. “In many ways, the Paris celebration felt like a living testament to Tuck’s enduring culture and to a community that is not just proud of its history but excited about the future.”
The run of alumni events resumes this summer with more than 20 anniversary-themed Global Tuck ’Tails happening in cities across the U.S. and the world. The Tuck-led 125th tour will return in the fall for events in San Francisco, Minneapolis, and New York City, before concluding with a December gathering in Tokyo.
Throughout the year, Tuck Alumni Lifelong Learning (TALL) is also hosting a variety of career and industry-themed virtual programs, reflecting Tuck’s commitment to meet alumni where they are while providing support for navigating different life and career stages.
“This year of celebration is for everyone,” says Nuñez. “Wherever they reside, we want alumni to know there are many opportunities to join in celebrating all that makes our school and the global Tuck community extraordinary.”
