Here is a shortlist of supplies that you might want to bring with you when you arrive at Tuck.
This list was compiled by a few first-years and includes items they found helpful for the school year. Students living in the on-campus residence halls should also refer to Housing for recommendations on what to bring for their room.
School Supplies
(Many first-year classes at Tuck request that electronics be put away, so you really will be taking notes.)
- Pens (having more than one color can come in handy)
- Pencils
- Highlighters
- Binders (larger is preferred, 2.5 inch)
- Tabbed dividers
- Folders
- Notebooks or notebook paper
- Post-its
Tuck has shared printers located throughout the dorms and shared spaces, so there is no need to bring your own printer.

- Calculator
- Day Planner / Calendar
- Stationery
- Cold weather clothes (especially a winter coat)
- Reusable water bottle (a mug for tea / coffee is helpful)
- Running / walking shoes for outdoor trails
- At least one formal-wear, one business-formal and one business-casual outfit, each
- Random costume items, including: neon (70s/80s), Luau/beach, Halloween, jungle, Western/ranch, etc.
- Local flavors or seasonings from your home country or region
